In January of 2007 Mike founded Design Guild San Francisco, a collective design studio in the heart of San Francisco’s SOMA district. The Design Guild houses a number of small firms in the fields of product design, graphic design, architecture, web design, illustration and more. The nature of the collective studio provides several unique advantages for our members. For one, it allows small firms to share the physical resources of the space including conference rooms, gallery, model shop, sewing room, design library and more. It also allows us to pool the intellectual resources and knowledge base of our members. Furthermore, it allows for collaboration and creative inspiration between members in a confidential setting.
